Megawatts. Released this year. Recorded in 1991, I think.

It's called: Detained At The Blue Note. It has a kiliin' band: Kenny Garrett, Dave Kikoski, Eric Revis, David Gilmore, and the up-and coming Marcus Strickland on tenor. Nice tunes with nice blowin' all around.
I can't recall any non-boot, live live recordings with Tain?

gonocaccas, yeah I checked it out, it's from '91 w/Kirkland and Hurst.
Anyone check out that new Branford cd w/ Tain?, I'm wondering if I should pick it up, it's supposed to be all ballads.

I always say how much I like Tain. He really is my favorite jazz drummer I think.
He swings hard, and his aggressiveness is refreshing. And unlike a lot of Jazz guys, he has some serious chops. Last time I saw him with Branford I was so utterly blown away. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Man, Steve, that angers me. He was just in DC with Branford this past weekend. I deliberated over going with the lady. DC sucks for seeing awesome players unless you want to spend an entire week's budget.

He's going to be in the Boston area Sunday. Let's see, Tain or Chris Berman/Tom Jackson? I'm kidding of course.
Tain is just straight up TOUGH. He's like a Mack truck comin' down i95 at 100mph...w/ no brakes.

Hey Guys,
I think that the bass player on "Megawatts" is a Guy named Charles Frambough or something...
Peace.
